Raiders blow lead, win in OT ASHLAND -- Southern Oregon let a 16-point lead slip away in the second half but went on to beat The Master's College, 88-80, in overtime Saturday night at McNeal Pavilion. The Raiders (3-3) had a one-point lead late in the second half as the Mustangs were fouled and Todd Whittington hit one of his two free throws, tying the game. "We played a little bit better defensively," SOU coach Brian McDermott said. "And we were more fundamentally sound and shot our free throws well." Southern Oregon shot 82.4 percent from the line and were 6-for-6 from the line in overtime. Don Guy came of the bench to lead the Raiders with 20 points, 10 assists and four steals. Teammate Amos Baker contributed 15 points off the bench. Starter Tom Chipps led three other teammates in double digits with 16 points. Defensively Scott Logue blocked a game-high six shots. "The bench really played well," McDermott said. "and Logue had a big night defensively, but we were lucky to force an overtime.
