Driver faces manslaughter charges after crash Richard Shawn Stocke Wednesday Aug 23, 2017 at 4:29 PM Aug 23, 2017 at 4:29 PM Vickie Aldous Mail Tribune @VickieAldous A Rogue River man is facing manslaughter charges after a rollover crash that claimed the life of a woman who was thrown from the vehicle and pinned under the wreckage. Richard Shawn Stocke, 46, of the 400 block of Earhart Road remains lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $750,000 bail following the July 5 crash outside Rogue River. His trial is scheduled to start in Jackson County Circuit Court Sept. 13. Stocke has been charged with first-degree manslaughter, second-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and second-degree criminal mischief. He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, according to an indictment. Passenger Darlene Harris, 37, was ejected from a white 1999 Ford F-250 pickup and was pinned beneath the vehicle. She died in the 3000 block of East Evans Creek Road at about 9:38 p.m. July 5, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Stocke was also ejected from the truck and suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was taken to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, according to the sheriff's office. He was lodged in jail July 19, jail records show.
