Pyle First Amendment Forum. The "Talk Radio Marathon" is set to begin at 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, in the Stevenson Union’s Rogue River Room. The public is invited to watch the broadcasts. The hosts will include Lars Larson, whose "The Lars Larson Show" is broadcast on 17 radio stations in Oregon and syndicated nationally; Jeff Golden, whose "The Jefferson Exchange" is broadcast on Jefferson Public Radio (KSJK AM 1230); and Rosemary and Garth Harrington, whose "Morning Express" is broadcast on KCMX AM 880. On March 3, Larson’s show will be broadcast from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m.; Golden’s will be broadcast from 8 to 10 a.m. and the Harringtons’ will be broadcast from 6 to 9 a.m. The event also includes a free 7 p.m. panel discussion on the role and impact of talk radio, featuring Michael Krasney, host of "Forum," a daily news and public affairs program on KQED FM in San Francisco. Panels will include Larson, Golden and the Harringtons. The event is supported by a grant from the Ashland Daily Tidings.
