Missing woman, 83, found alive in her car WIMER -- An elderly Rogue River woman who had been missing for eight days was found alive Sunday by a target shooter near here. Joan Arline Beebe, 83, disappeared April 3 after she apparently got in her red 1983 Toyota Tercel and went for a drive. Family members said she suffered from dementia and short-term memory loss. Local authorities had been on the lookout for her ever since. At 2:30 p.m. Sunday, a target shooter who was practicing with his son in the Upper Pleasant Creek area found Beebe in her car, according to Jackson County sheriff's deputies. Beebe was listed in serious condition at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass Sunday night, suffering from hypothermia and dehydration.
