Food drive at Greystone begins A golfing moose helps brighten Greystone Court in Medford. Mail Tribune file photo Wednesday Dec 21, 2016 at 8:30 AM The annual food drive for ACCESS during the holiday light display at Greystone Court runs from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 21-24. The residents of Greystone Court will accept donations of nonperishable food items and cash for ACCESS to help feed hungry people in Jackson County. ACCESS also accepts secure donations online at accesshelps.org. Greystone Court is off North Phoenix Road in east Medford. Asante Health System will match up to $5,000 of donations received at Greystone Court. A donation container also will be available to collect contributions toward the Asante community match. Santa will be there each night to greet the children and hand out candy canes. Human Bean will hand out free sample cups of hot chocolate Wednesday. Radio Medford stations will be there from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.  This is the 16th year for the event. More than 4,000 cars are expected to drive through the cul-de-sac in four days. So far, community members have contributed thousands of pounds of food and more than $300,000.  Foods rich in protein are especially needed, including peanut butter, canned tuna, canned meat and beans. However, donations of any nonperishable food items such as rice, pasta, cold and hot cereals are also needed.
