Medford police arrested Solomon Wednesday on felony warrants charging him with manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin and for failing to appear in court on previous charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin and second-degree theft. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday and released Friday. Marijuana — Samantha Lynn Claudy, 22, of the 100 block of Mace Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Claudy Thursday on two felony counts of unlawfully possessing marijuana and misdemeanor warrants charging her with reckless driving and failing to appear in court on a previous fourth-degree assault charge. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance. Assault — Sergio Cortes-Cortes, 40, of the 2300 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Cortes-Cortes Thursday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance. Theft — James Harley David, 35, of the 200 block of Mace Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested David Thursday on felony charges of first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief and unlawfully possessing marijuana. Jackson County Community Justice Parole and Probation officers additionally arrested David Thursday for violating his parole on a prior attempted second-degree assault conviction. He was held in jail Friday without bail. Drugs — Fred Elmer Short IV, 56, of the 200 block of Holiday Lane, Talent. Medford police arrested Short Thursday on warrants charging him with felony counts of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin, misdemeanor counts of possessing heroin and methamphetamine and for failing to appear in court on previous charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin, second-degree trespassing and second- and third-degree theft. He was held in jail Friday on $105,000 bail. Sex Offender — James William Wood, 37, no known address. Medford police arrested Wood Thursday on a felony charge of failing to report as a sex offender, a felony warrant charging him with a separate count of failing to report as a sex offender and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of failing to report as a sex offender, assaulting a police officer, second-degree trespassing, second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment. He was held in jail Friday without bail.
