Man found guilty of trafficking, prostitution charges Virgil Don Rucker Friday Aug 26, 2016 at 3:20 PM A jury has found a California man guilty of a dozen felonies, some of which will carry Measure 11 mandatory-minimum sentences, stemming from his role in forcing at least one woman to participate in prostitution, and for the rape of a 15-year-old girl. Virgil Don Rucker, 41, of Tracy, Calif., was convicted Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court of rape, trafficking in persons, compelling prostitution and promoting prostitution. He will be sentenced Tuesday afternoon, according to a release issued by the Jackson County District Attorney's office. Medford police began investigating Rucker in February when a woman in her 20s came forward and said Rucker forced and intimidated her into engaging in prostitution at Medford-area motels between February and August 2014. The jury also found Rucker guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl in July of last year at a Medford motel. Rucker will be sentenced at 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, court records show.
