Do teachers actually get paid $300 per day? Could you provide us with some details? — Lori C., Medford According to Medford Superintendent Steve Wisely, local teachers salaries are based on a 190-day contract. A teacher who has earned a bachelor’s degree but has no experience earns $29,603 annually with the Medford district, or approximately $155.88 per day. That teacher would lose $1,558 if 10 days were slashed. A Medford teacher with seven years’ experience, coupled with bachelor’s and master’s degrees, earns $42,838 annually or $225.46 daily. That’s a loss of $2,254 if 10 days are slashed. Medford’s highest paid teachers earn $57,358, or $301.88 daily. Teachers in that pay scale must have 14 years’ experience, along with a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Send questions to "Since You Asked," Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
