Central Point vehicle crash leaves one dead Friday Jan 27, 2017 at 5:53 PM Jan 27, 2017 at 5:53 PM A driver who crashed into a block wall in Central Point today was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. The name of the deceased was not released pending notification of the family, the sheriff's office said. At approximately 3 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a report of vandalism to a residence in the 5000 block of Upton Road in Central Point. Upon arrival, the deputies discovered a vehicle had crashed head-on into a block wall at the location. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
