Ronald Stephen Glick, 35, entered a plea of not guilty Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court to a felony murder charge in connection with the slaying of Dawn Glick. Judge Lorenzo Mejia accepted Glick’s plea in a brief hearing. No trial date has been set. But Mejia did schedule a pretrial conference for June 23, giving prosecutors and defense attorneys a chance to work out a plea agreement. However, defense attorney Joseph Maier said Monday afternoon that he expects no plea agreement and that the case will go to trial. Advertisement Dawn Glick, 28, was found dead March 10 in a bedroom closet of her Spring Street home. Medford Police Department investigators have claimed that Ron Glick went to his wife’s house that morning and killed her while the couple’s 3-year-old son, Caden, was there. The couple’s 8-year-old daughter, Brianna, was staying with friends, police said. Ron Glick then drove with Caden to his parents’ home near Ashland, investigators said. The family became concerned for Dawn’s safety and called police. The couple, whose relationship was marred by allegations of violence, was in the midst of a divorce when Dawn Glick was killed. If convicted, Glick faces life in prison with a mandatory minimum of 25 years. Since a Jackson County Grand Jury indicted Glick on the felony murder charge but not aggravated murder, he is not eligible for the death penalty if convicted. He remains in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
