Grant will help residents with spruce-up If you live in west Medford, you may be eligible for financial help with sprucing up your home this spring. West Medford Community Coalition has received a $10,000 county housing authority grant to paint eight homes. Three already have been selected for the project, and the coalition is accepting applications for remaining houses. Houses must be within an area established by the coalition. To qualify, homeowners must: Meet low-income guidelines; Live in the house; Repair structural damage before painting begins. The work will begin on April 17 and must be completed by May 31. Each job will have a painting contractor, and community volunteers will perform preparation and trim labor. While several organizations have volunteered to help out, the coalition is also seeking volunteers to help with preparation work on Saturdays.
