This year, the North Medford senior switched directions but is nonetheless experiencing success as the Black Tornado’s top singles player. Wilson remained undefeated on the season with a convincing victory over Roseburg’s Corinne Borrelli at District Courts on Tuesday. The North Medford team followed Wilson’s example by blanking the visiting Indians, 8-0, in a Southern Oregon Conference girls tennis dual. Wilson upped her perfect record to 5-0 with the 6-1, 6-1 victory in No. 1 singles. In the other three singles matches, no Roseburg player won more than two games in any set. Advertisement Of particular interest was the performance of the Black Tornado No. 2 doubles team of Carissa Arnesen and Jacqueline Folger, who defeated Jennifer Abel and Andi Gingery, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2. "Our No. 2 doubles team split sets previously against the same Roseburg team," said North Medford coach Dale Jensen about a match that was called because of bad weather earlier in the season.
