Man who fell from hotel ledge still alive By Julie Akins For the Mail Tribune Mar 17, 2017 12:00 AM A A The person who witnesses say pushed himself off a fourth-story ledge at Ashland Springs Hotel on Tuesday afternoon was still alive at a Portland hospital on Thursday. A spokesperson at Oregon Heath & Science University said Thursday that Jordan O'Donnell was in serious condition. On Wednesday, a hospital spokesperson said the person transferred there from Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center after being admitted there Tuesday after being transported from Ashland was "undergoing a procedure" Wednesday. The name of the patient is consistent with witness reports. Emergency responders, including police and paramedics, have declined to identify the individual due to standing policy. While the Tidings does not usually identify people involved in apparent suicide attempts, due to the public nature of this incident and the individual's multiple connections within the community, the Tidings is doing so in this case. — Email Ashland freelance writer Julie Akins at [email protected] and follow her on Twitter at twitter.com/@julieakins.
