The Loggers registered a 25-17, 25-23, 25-20 win over the Red Tail Hawks. Stubbs served five straight points in the first set and notched two aces in the second. Butte Falls is 6-4 overall and 2-2 in the MVL. RVA, in its first year with a league team, is 1-6 and 0-5. MARIST 3, ASHLAND 1: At Ashland, Ellie Case had a big match for Ashland but top-ranked Marist prevailed in the hard-fought Midwestern League contest, 26-24, 25-20, 23-25, 25-17. Case, a senior hitter, posted 13 kills, five blocks and three aces. Senior setter Karlie Richardson dished out 25 assists for the Grizzlies (12-5, 5-2 MWL). Also for Ashland, Alex Crane provided five kills and Myla Norvell had 10 digs and four aces.
