A Central Point police officer Wednesday arrested Rasmussen on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sodomy. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $2 million bail. Drugs — Sharai Dee Berry, 34, of the 2700 block of Forest Creek Road, Jacksonville. A Central Point police officer Wednesday arrested Berry on a charge of possession of amphetamines. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Wednesday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Paul Patrick Connolly, 21, of the 200 block of Harvard Place, Medford. Connolly appeared Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a warrant charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Christopher Lewis Conner, 21, of the 1100 block of Stevens Street, Medford. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday arrested Conner on a warrant charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Billie Jo Cozo, 39, no known address. A Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team agent Wednesday arrested Cozo on charges of possession of a substance with the intent of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of amphetamines. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Wednesday on $15,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 2000 block of Lars Way, Medford. A Medford police officer Wednesday took a report of a theft in which a 1999 Ford van, Oregon license plate VTS 184, was stolen. The van’s estimated value is $5,000. Fire calls Grass fire — Crews from Jackson County Fire District No. 3 extinguished a grass fire after it burned about one-half acre of land at the county Sports Park at 6900 Kershaw Road near White City. The fire, reported at about 4 p.m., was sparked by people using guns at a park shooting range, according to a District 3 spokesman.
