Pedestrian identified in hit-and-run crash By Mail Tribune staff Dec 05, 2018 06:54 PM A A Medford police have released the name of a woman who they say was struck by a car that fled the scene. A 26-year-old woman identified as Chantal Haney was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital after she was struck by a car at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday near the area of South Pacific Highway and Garfield, according to a Medford police release. Police are still searching for a suspect driver. The car believed to have hit Haney is described as a sedan missing its rear bumper and damage to its passenger-side headlight, according to Medford police. The vehicle’s make, model and color isn’t yet known. Anyone with information is asked to call Medford police at 541-770-4783. The crash caused traffic delays throughout South Medford Wednesday evening, backed up southbound Interstate 5 near Exit 27 and closed South Pacific Highway near the scene.
