Brown helps SOU to split in softball twin bill REDWOOD CITY, Calif. � Brandi Brown gave up 10 hits over both games of a doubleheader Thursday, leading the Southern Oregon University softball team to a split with the College of Notre Dame. The Raiders dropped the opener, 1-0, then bounced back to take the nightcap, 2-0. An unearned run in the first inning decided Game 1. Latisha Inget went 3-for-4 for the Raiders. In Game 2, Lisa Aitchison had two hits and Brown struck out six to lead SOU to the win. Stacey Marshall broke a scoreless tie with a one-out, bases-loaded single in the top of the seventh, driving home two runs. SOU (8-7) takes on Dominican College in San Rafael, Calif., today.
