Kids can 'shop with a cop' By Daily Tidings staff report Dec 11, 2014 12:00 AM A A The city of Ashland Police Department hosts “Shop with a Cop 2014” starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Wal-Mart, 1360 Center Drive in Medford. Uniformed officers and support staff have volunteered their time to take 17 underprivileged children holiday shopping. Each child will be given a $100 gift card to spend on themselves. The purpose of the event is to give the kids a happier holiday season and to interact with law enforcement officers in a positive setting, the department said in a news release.
