What do you want in your library? Public meetings will seek opinions Public meetings are scheduled today, Friday and Saturday to gather information about what valley communities need from their libraries. Under a $147,000 contract with Jackson County, Portland architects Fletcher Farr & Ayotte will produce designs by April 30 for the replacement of the Medford Headquarters Library and the remodeling or replacement of 13 branch libraries. The designs will address patron uses, make siting recommendations and provide dollar estimates for a planned March 2000 ballot measure. To find out what the public wants in its libraries, the architects and Jackson County Library System officials have scheduled 15 meetings at the following times and locations: Tonight Gold Hill City Council Chambers, 7 p.m. Talent Community Hall, 7 p.m. Butte Falls Community Hall, 7 p.m. Friday Phoenix Branch Library, light chicken dinner 5:30 p.m., town hall meeting 6:15 p.m. Eagle Point High School, refreshments, 6:30 p.m. Central Point Library, 7 p.m. Rogue River Library, 7 p.m. Saturday Applegate Community Church, multipurpose room, 10 a.m. Jacksonville Old City Hall, 10 a.m. Shady Cove Community Center, 10:30 a.m. White City Library, 1 p.m. Ruch Elementary School cafeteria, 1 p.m. Prospect Community Hall, 7 p.m. Jackson County Courthouse Auditorium, 10 S.
