Brief power outage affects more than 1,600 Medford customers Friday Nov 4, 2016 at 8:36 AM Nov 4, 2016 at 11:39 AM A power outage left more than 1,600 Medford customers in the dark this morning. A power line problem at the intersection of Portland Avenue and East Main Street was reported at 7:31 a.m. today. Pacific Power reported on its website that 1,618 customers were affected. Pacific Power spokesman Tom Gauntt said power was restored at 8:12 a.m. Lt. Kerry Curtis of Medford police said several traffic lights along East Main Street between Lindley Avenue and Hawthorne Street were affected by the outage, which occurred when multiple wires got tangled for an unknown reason, causing a short, Gauntt said.
