The Mountaineers turned the ball over on their possession, dribbling out of bounds with 2.5 seconds left. Eastern Oregon then fouled Voeks, who converted one of two free throw attempts. "It was a good game," SOU coach Brian McDermott said. "This is our third road win in the conference — which makes us a contender." Sophomore forward Shea Washington had career highs of 40 points and 17 rebounds. The transfer from Montana State hit three 3-pointers and was 15-of-23 from the field. "It seemed like he got every rebound in the second half," McDermott said. "They used a lot of zones on us so we threw it inside a lot." Advertisement Roseburg graduate Brad Coen added 12 points on four 3-pointers. The win moves SOU into sole possession of second place in the conference with Oregon Tech’s loss to fifth-ranked Albertson. Christy Smith led EOU with 18 points, while Cancade Davis added 14 and Michelle Kinley 13 points. The Raiders received a game- and career-high 19 points from freshman point guard Jenna Ayers, but couldn’t overcome their 26 turnovers.
