A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Christopher Michael Milhoan, 29, of the 100 block of Locke Lane, Phoenix, late Monday on various sexual assault charges, sheriff’s Capt. Joe Puckett said. The sheriff’s office got a report Sunday evening of a rape that apparently had occurred early that morning, he said. Several young women who live on Gladstone Avenue in White City had met Milhoan in online chat rooms and had communicated with him through the Internet for several months, Puckett said. They invited him to a get-together at their home Saturday night. Four women in their early 20s attended the gathering, he said. Milhoan spent about half an hour talking with them normally, then became "weird," the women told police. He grew increasingly aggressive and physical, Puckett said. Sometime after midnight, Milhoan allegedly raped one of the women, Puckett said. She sought medical care and reported the incident later that day, police reports said. Investigators tracked Milhoan down based on information the women provided, Puckett said. The women then confirmed he was the person who came to their gathering. Milhoan was arraigned Tuesday afternoon on first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, second-degree sexual abuse and harassment charges. Bail was set at $1 million and he remained jailed Wednesday night.
