Am I correct? If so, where was it located? — C. Leahy, Santa Rosa, Calif. Your memory is sharp, Leah. From 1986 to 1988 Bob’s Big Boy Restaurant operated at 2229 Biddle Rd., just off the north Medford freeway interchange. The Southern California chain’s stay was followed by JB’s, a northwest publicly traded company that took over the 4,831-square-foot premises. The first restaurant housed in the building was VIPs before Choo-Choo Willy’s chugged into town in 1983. IHOP came to town in 1993 and ceased operation in January. The Oregon Department of Transportation has acquired the property as part of its planned $36 million reworking of the freeway interchange.
