Darren L. Dailey, 42, of the 6500 block of Rogue River Highway, was arrested Friday on charges of possessing, manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine, Josephine County sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Selig said in a news release. Dailey was also charged with possession of a precursor substance to make methamphetamine. Agents of the Josephine Interagency Narcotics Team served a search warrant on Dailey’s home Friday and seized a list of chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine. Investigators also found toxic waste from the meth lab discarded in a nearby wooded area where children are often seen, Selig said. Police believe the meth lab had been used three or four times, and produced several ounces of methamphetamine, Selig said. Dailey was lodged in the Josephine County Jail, where he remained Saturday on $25,000 bail. A woman who lives at the home was not arrested Friday. Selig said her involvement with the case is being investigated.
