From 6 to 8 a.m., Sixth Street from Central Avenue east to Bartlett Street will be closed to all traffic. A crane is scheduled to be put in place to unload steel beams for the Cuthbert Building. The 1910 building, formerly home to stores of the national chains JC Penney Co. and JJ Newberry Co., is being gutted, reinforced and remodeled. Drivers are asked to use alternative routes.
