Knutson leapt to a mark of 32 feet, 3½ inches to triumph in her first-ever triple jump competition. "I’m not surprised, but pleased," said South coach Bill Rowan, whose girls raced to a 105-39 win and whose boys triumphed, 921/3 -522/3 . "We’ll see how she feels tomorrow." Knutson, who is suffering from patella tendinitis in both knees, placed first in long jump (16-1) and second in the 100 (13.20), both regular events for the senior. Panther sophomore Andrea Herman won the discus with a toss of 111-10, and April Bradshaw cruised to a victory in the 400 in 1:01.91. Advertisement Eagle Point’s Janna Boren won the 100 (13.07), 200 (27.29) and pole vault (10-0).
