Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend October 19, 2005 Emergency Services Felony arrests Drugs — Carol Lynn Moore, 300 block of Connie Lane, Merlin. Moore made her initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on one count of possession of methamphetamine. She was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on her own recognizance. Drugs — Matthew Scott Ward, 34, of the 200 block of First Avenue, Coos Bay. The Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team Monday arrested Ward on charges of possession and delivery of marijuana. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday in lieu of $30,000 bail. Identity theft, theft — Judith Victoria Grober, 29, of the 100 block of West Second Street, Medford. Grober appeared Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with identity theft and first-degree theft. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Drugs — Eric Eugene Wright, 33, no known address. Central Point Police Tuesday arrested Wright on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Crime reports Theft — Intersection of Access and Old Stage roads, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday took a report in which a Subaru station wagon valued at $1,000 was stolen. Burglary — 500 block of Business Park Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report Monday of a break-in at a business from which several commercial power tools were taken. The break-in and theft was valued at $17,800. Jason Wayne Martin, 34, of the 1000 block of West Main Street, remains in the Jackson County Jail charged with second-degree manslaughter. Dametri Martin died on July 19 when his father’s 1992 Chevrolet Blazer plunged more than 200 feet off a forest road and crashed into two large trees. Jason Martin also is charged with third-degree assault for injuring 33-year-old Kathleen Burbeula, of Medford, in the 10:30 p.m. wreck. Martin is not charged with driving under the influence, but investigators for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said they found liquor bottles in the Blazer. Martin’s trial is scheduled for Dec. 6 and 7 in Jackson County Circuit Court. If convicted of manslaughter, Martin would be subject to a mandatory sentence of six years and three months in prison.
