Butte Falls tops Triad KLAMATH FALLS Butte Falls coach B.J. Rodgers has one of the younger teams in the Skyline A League but that hasnt stopped the Loggers from surging to the top of the Skyline A League standings. Sophomore wing Krystle Rowley tossed in a game-high 18 points and freshman post Sarah Matthews registered 15 points and 14 rebounds as the Loggers pinned a 57-40 defeat on Triad Friday night. The victory kept the Loggers tied with Prospect and North Lake atop the Skyline A League standings. All three teams are 6-1. Butte Falls was without starting senior post Elizabeth MacLauchlan and reserve freshman wing Asia Million, who were out with injuries, but it hardly mattered as the Loggers won their 13th game in 16 attempts this season. "Weve got a lot of depth we go 10 deep when were healthy," Rodgers said. "And these young girls know how to play the game." Butte Falls led just 7-6 after one period but methodically stretched its lead the rest of the way. Ashley Dubrey had 17 points to pace Triad, but managed only two in the second half.
