Jackson pool in Medford opens Monday Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Jun. 6, 2015 at 11:26 AM Posted Jun. 6, 2015 at 11:26 AM » Social News The Jackson Aquatics Center, Medford’s only municipal swimming pool, opens for the summer Monday, and not a moment too soon — temperatures are expected to hit over 100 that day and remain in the 90s throughout the week. The pool, at Summit Avenue and Clark Street adjacent to Jackson Elementary School, offers open swim from 1 to 5:15 p.m. daily and from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evenings throughout the summer. Lap swim hours are from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through the week of Sept. 1. Admission is $3 per person for lap swim, $1 for youths and $3 for adults for open swim. Season passes and punch cards are available for as little as $10. The 11-week swim lesson schedule, which includes group, semi-private and private lessons for age 6 months and up, starts the week of June 15. Thanks to fundraising efforts by the Medford Parks and Recreation Foundation and the Southern Oregon Antiques and Collectibles Club, all group swim lessons June 29 through July 3 and Aug. 24-28 are free for Medford residents.
