Emergency services, March 2 Thursday Mar 2, 2017 at 12:05 AM Felony arrests Drugs — Jill Elizabeth Schermett, 36, of the 400 block of Beatty Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Schermett Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding. Drugs — Cory Alan Bath, 44, of Klamath Falls. Medford police arrested Bath Monday on a felony charge of possessing heroin and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing. He was booked in the jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding. Burglary — William Walter Wiest Jr., 23, no known address. Medford police arrested Wiest Monday on a felony charge of second-degree burglary and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding. Drugs — Austin Ray Jackson, 23, of the 1400 block of Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass. Rogue River police  arrested Jackson Tuesday on felony charges of distributing and possessing methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon. He was booked in the jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding. Theft — Robert Wade Cool, 22, no known address. On Tuesday, Cool made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance. Impaired Driving — Rafael Alfonso Vela, 35, of South Gate, California. On Tuesday, Vela made a court appearance on a felony charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He remained lodged in jail Thursday without bail. Drugs — Timothy Lee Morris, 38, of the 600 block of North Grape Street, Medford. On Tuesday, Morris made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance. Theft — Daniel Richard Escamilla, 29, of the 900 block of Broad Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Escamilla Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree theft, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of distributing and possessing methamphetamine, first- and second-degree burglary, first-degree theft, driving while suspended, interfering with police and recklessly endangering. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Trujillo Tuesday on felony charges of distributing and possessing heroin, and on out-of-county warrants for possessing heroin and third-degree theft. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Ruppel Tuesday on felony charges of distributing and possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail Tuesday and released. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Long Tuesday on a felony warrants charging her with first- and second-degree custodial interference. She remained lodged in jail Thursday on $100,000 bail. Drugs — Ashley Brianne Kusel, 29, of the 300 block of South Shasta Avenue, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police arrested Kusel Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday on her own recognizance. Drugs — Tahra Amber Haner, 31, of the 700 block of Plum Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Haner Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous meth possession charge. Medford police arrested Witherspoon Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday on his own recognizance. Medford police arrested Nelson Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of interfering with police and for violating his parole on a previous third-degree rape conviction. Medford police arrested Walker Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a detainer for violating her probation on a previous first-degree theft charge. On Wednesday, Bradley made a court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree theft. She was lodged in jail Wednesday without bail. Elude — Devin Scott Bezoff, 23, of the 12500 block of Williams Highway, Grants Pass. On Wednesday, Bezoff made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. Medford police and Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Edgerton Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed firearm and providing false information to police, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of interfering with police and possessing heroin. Medford police arrested Atkinson Wednesday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender and a misdemeanor charge of violating a no-contact order. Medford police arrested Clements Wednesday on felony charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing heroin, and on a misdemeanor charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on more than $1 million bail. Crime reports Theft — 2900 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Titan Impact airless sprayer with hose at 6:39 a.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $1,899. Vandalism — 1000 block of Stevens Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in and vandalism at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle's driver-side window and steering column were reported damaged, and the vehicle damage was valued at $1,000.
