Medford police on Monday arrested Lee on two counts of felony fourth-degree assault and first-degree criminal mistreatment. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday on $15,000 bail. Drugs — Kathleen Maureen Logan, 43, of the 1000 block of Ellendale Avenue, Medford. Medford police on Monday arrested Logan on charges of possession of amphetamines and driving while suspended. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where she was being held Monday in lieu of $8,000 bail. Drugs — Jeffrey Ray Price, 42, and Carol Loraine Price, 37, both of the 800 block of Ellendale Avenue, Medford. The Prices made their initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court for arraignment on indictments charging each with possession of amphetamines and endangering the welfare of a minor. They were both processed at the Jackson County Jail on Monday then released on their own recognizance. Drugs — Julian Fred William Sparks, 42, of Merlin. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy on Monday arrested Sparks on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Leslie Ann Mason, 41, of the 5700 block of Olympia, Wash. Central Point police on Monday arrested Mason on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where she was being held Monday in lieu of $15,000 bail. Drugs — Ponie Lamonte Martin, 32, of the 100 block of Elm Street, Medford. Medford police on Monday arrested Martin on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $5,000 bail. Fire calls Townhouse fire — 901 Royal Court, Medford. A candle accidentally knocked onto a comforter was blamed for a small fire about 9:10 p.m. that damaged an upstairs bedroom. The two people home at the time tried to douse the flames, and a neighbor even threw a dog’s water dish on the fire, but it spread too quickly for them to handle, witnesses said. Three Medford fire engines responded, and quickly doused the flames. Damage was contained to one bedroom, but there was some smoke and heat damage to a second upstairs bedroom, Battalion Chief Ken Goodson said.
