Nickelodeon Nick Click Digital Camera & CD-ROM By Pam Gleichman Tribune Media Services Nickelodeon Nick Click Digital Camera & CD-ROM lets you take digital photographs and, within seconds, uploads images to your computer. Once the images have been uploaded, they can be mixed with lots of Nick characters, including characters from "Rugrats," "CAT DOG," "Hey Arnold," "Angry Beavers," "Ren & Stimpy," "Rocko�s Modern Life," "Kablam, Aahh!" and "Real Monsters." There are four wacky zones to explore on the CD. In Publicity, you can create and print posters, stickers and picture ID cards. In the Director�s Lab, you make digital movies by stringing pictures together and adding sound effects. With F/X (special effects), you create an action scene by adding your face to a gorilla, astronaut or deep-sea diver. With the Nicktoon Props, body parts, Nicktoon characters and backgrounds are added to their pictures. There is also an image editor to crop images, resize photographs and change backgrounds and colors. The camera needs no film or flash and can store up to six pictures in its memory. When it is connected to the computer, an unlimited number of pictures can be taken. The camera�s resolution is 160 X 120 and the software-enhanced resolution is 320 x 240. The camera also has a self-timer so that you can take your own picture. The Nick Click Digital Camera and software is a lot of fun. Kids had a great time taking pictures and making crazy creations with the software. My only negative comment relates to the quality of the photos; they are not great, but for the price and fun that kids had with the camera and software package, picture quality didn�t seem to be a problem. NOTE: A nine-pin (DB) serial port connector is included. A 25-pin connector (DB25) serial port adapter may be required for users with 25-pin serial ports, Standard mouse and keyboard, printer to output pictures. Tested Version : Windows 95/Windows 98.
