Dinners are available for holiday This year, several groups and organizations are preparing and serving free Thanksgiving dinners. A partial list of those events follows: Tuesday, Nov. 20: Crater High School student government will serve a free Thanksgiving banquet for senior citizens at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Crater High's Student Center, 4410 Rogue Valley Blvd. Entertainment will be provided by Crater's Jazz Ensemble. Call 664-7194. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22 Ashland will hold the Tenth Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at the National Guard Armory, 1420 E. Main St. Donations and volunteers are needed. Call 245-6980. Word of Life Christian Fellowship will host its third annual free traditional Thanksgiving Day dinner from 1 to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at Redmen Hall, 125 N. Holly St., Medford. The dinner is open to the public. For more information, call 608-WORD. Rivergate Church will offer a free Thanksgiving dinner and football game on a big screen at 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at the church, 188 Garfield St., Ashland. To reserve a spot, call 482-2546.
