Leonard Arthur Dalbec Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Oct. 3, 2014 at 2:00 AM Posted Oct. 3, 2014 at 2:00 AM » Social News Leonard Arthur Dalbec, 93, of Central Point, Ore. passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his home. He was born April 16, 1921 in Bottineau, N.D., to Joseph Harmidas Dalbec and Enda Viola Kelsey. Leonard and Charlene were married March 25, 1946 in Devils Lake, N.D. Leonard was a member of the 164th Infantry and the North Dakota National Guard. He worked as a mill worker and laborer for Harry and David and Olsen and Lawyer Mill. Leonard's hobbies included woodworking and traveling. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Leonard is survived by his children, Harry R. Dalbec, of Medford, Ore., Linda L. Parks of Medford, Kerry F. Dalbec of White City, Ore., Glenda L. Thomas of Central Point, Karen A. Dalbec of Medford, Galen G. Dalbec of Central Point, Holly J. Rucker of Medford, and Kevin K. Dalbec of Central Point. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Mae Bragg Dalbec; son Larry J. Dalbec; sisters, Gladys Hiatt and Mary Louise Johnson; brothers Stanley Dalbec and Elwood Dalbec and one grandchil. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
