Football SUPER BOWL FUND-RAISER — First American Title Insurance employees will host a Super Bowl tailgate party to raise awareness and funds for Community Works’ Dunn House shelter. Dunn House provides services to battered women and their children. The pre-game party is Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 300 W. Main, across from Alba Park, in Medford. Grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and other food will be available for small donations. All proceeds go to Dunn House. Hockey LEAGUE PLAY — At The Rrrink, adult league and in-house leagues. Adult play through April 27; games at 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.; cost $200 per player, $125 for goalies. Ice Skating GREAT TO SKATE CLINIC — The RRRink and Southern Oregon Figure Skating Club will host an "It’s Great to Skate Clinic" on Friday from 3-5 p.m. The clinic is open to ages 3 to adult. Cost is $15 per skater. Parents of clinic participants are encouraged to attend the Parents’ Education Session, which starts at 3:30 on the day of the clinic. Kart Racing SPRINT KARTS — At the Slick Kart Track & Arcade in Medford, high-performance alcohol-burning mini sprint kart racing. These karts to run only Wednesdays and Thursdays; standard slick karts in use the rest of the week. Skiing SHERMAN ANDERSON MEMORIAL RACE — 26th annual Crater Lake Wilderness Cross Country race, Feb. 8. 20-kilometer race is at 10 a.m. and 10- kilometer starts at 10:10 a.m. Cost is $25 for adults with T-shirt and $10 without; $20 ages 15-under with shirt and $5 without. Registration deadline is Jan. 31 or up to 9:15 a.m. of race day with $2 late fee. Call 883-3261 during the day or 882-8376 in the evening.
