Gerald (Gary) Duane Glenn Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 22, 2015 at 2:00 AM Posted Sep. 22, 2015 at 2:00 AM » Social News Gerald (Gary) Duane Glenn Gary Glenn passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Medford, Ore. As a decorated Vietnam Veteran, Gary spent the majority of his life in Southern Oregon, where he impacted the local community with his giving heart, and dedication to serving the underprivileged, veteran and recovery populations. Gary was born May 04, 1944 in Medford, Ore. to Hugh and Effie Glenn of Central Point, Ore. He attended Gold Valley Fellowship in Gold Hill Ore., with services being held at Patrick Elementary. Gary loved the informal nature of the fellowship where he felt right at home. Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Glenn, his two daughters, Rebekah Lawrence and Christina Hartwell, eight grandchildren and five great grand-children – who were his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Effie Glenn, his three brothers; Donald, Dayton and Dean Glenn, and one sister, Wanda McClaren. To celebrate his life his service will be held in the Patrick Elementary Gymnasium on Saturday, September 26, at 11:00 a.m. Following the service we will be serving an array of desserts in honor of Gary’s well known sweet tooth. Gary’s heart was with the homeless, veterans and those suffering from addiction. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made, in his name to Tailgate Ministries, P.O Box 1563, Medford Oregon, 97501 – Tailgate is a grassroots ministry, serving the very people that Gary dedicated his life to. As a husband, father, grandfather and Double G, you will forever be loved, cherished and missed.
