Dastrup drilled two 3-point baskets in the final four seconds of the first half and finished with a game-high 23 points to fuel Grants Pass to a 71-40 nonleague victory over West Albany. Dastrup drained a trey as the clock wound down, then stole the inbounds pass and knocked in another one as the first-half buzzer sounded. "He just kind of threw the ball up as the horn sounded and it went in," Grants Pass assistant coach Steve York said of Dastrup’s second 3-pointer. "It was lucky, but he was smart enough to get it off in time." Dastrup had two more 3-pointers in the third period when he scored 12 of GP’s 20 points. The host Cavemen clamped on a fullcourt press in the second period and went on a 26-9 tear to lead 41-15 at the intermission.
