Medford man killed in wrong-way crash on I-5 near Redding Monday Jan 8, 2018 at 9:27 AM Jan 8, 2018 at 9:27 AM An 29-year-old Medford man was killed Sunday in a head-on collision on Interstate 5 near Anderson, California. California Highway Patrol reported that Grace Elizabeth Ward, 29, of Red Bluff, California, was driving north in the southbound lanes when she collided with a 2012 Honda Accord, according to a report in the Redding Record Searchlight. The Honda driver was killed in the crash, said CHP. His name was not immediately released pending notification of his his family. Ward, who was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala, suffered a broken leg and was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding. During the collision the Chevrolet flipped over and landed in the center median, while the Honda came to rest down an embankment near the right shoulder of the road, the CHP said.
