Kevin Don Anderson Jr., 20, is accused of approaching his ex-girlfriend's car wearing a mask outside a Shady Cove bank branch and shooting out her tires with a high-powered rifle. His getaway driver was Bridgett Wallace, 23, of Shady Cove, identified as Anderson's current girlfriend, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy Noah Strohmeyer. Deputies arrested Wallace for second-degree robbery, but as of Friday evening charges hadn't been filed against her and she was not listed in the Jackson County Jail, records show. At just before midnight Thursday, Anderson's ex-girlfriend and a female passenger had been parked near the Chase Bank ATM in Shady Cove when Anderson allegedly knocked on their window wearing a bandana over his face and with an AR-15 rifle in his hands. Anderson allegedly demanded that his former girlfriend give him her money, according to a court document filed by sheriff's deputies. After the passenger said she'd call the police, Anderson made threats, according to court documents. "If you're going to call the police, you better call an ambulance," Anderson reportedly told them. He then fired the rifle into the rear driver-side tire of the victim's vehicle before fleeing as a passenger in a gold Lexus sedan. No one was injured. "It was definitely a dangerous situation," Strohmeyer said. Eagle Point police stopped the Lexus a short time later on Butte Falls Highway, where Anderson and Wallace were arrested without incident. Inside the car police found an AR-15 rifle and a shotgun. Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Lorenzo Mejia set Anderson's bail at $100,000 Friday, court documents show. Anderson pleaded not guilty Friday afternoon to felony counts of first-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree criminal mischief, as well as misdemeanor counts of reckless endangering and menacing.
