Behind 14 points from sophomore wing Alyssa Watson, 12 from freshman center Marissa Towry and 11 from junior guard Kylie Grant, the South Medford JV posted a 60-52 victory. The Loggers (10-4, 4-1 Skyline A League), ranked fourth in the Class 1A coaches poll, battled back from a 36-22 halftime deficit to within three points on multiple occasions in the fourth quarter. "We just never could get it over the top," said Butte Falls head coach B.J. Rodgers, whose team played without junior post Sarah Matthews, sidelined by a right knee injury. Senior wing Amanda Hamilton scored 17 of her game-high 20 points in the second half to power the Loggers’ comeback. Senior wing Krystal Rawley was 3-of-5 from 3-point territory in the second half in accumulating 11 points for the game. Junior post Cassie Bartel combined 10 points with a team-high six rebounds for Butte Falls.
