'Home Is Where the Heart Is' at Art du Jour Feb 21, 2014 12:00 AM A A The artists of Art du Jour Gallery — Dodie Hamilton-Brandon with watercolors and Barrie Smeeth with acrylics and watercolors — will showcase their love for Southern Oregon in the main gallery. Smeeth’s under-water rock paintings convey her feelings of rafting on the Rogue River in the summer, and Hamilton-Brandon’s watercolors are colorful representations of various scenes in the Rogue Valley. Digital art by Ron Hodgdon and Robert Sharp will be displayed. Hodgdon uses a standard computer mouse as an illistrative tool to create elements of vector-based digital art that are rendered to create colorful and imaginary creatures or objects. Sharp manipulates digital photography using Photoshop to create images that range from photo-real to painterly. A reception will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 for Medford’s Third Friday Art Walk. Refreshments will be served. The exhibit runs through February at the Art du Jour Gallery, 213 E. Main St., Medford. Call 541-770-3190 or visit www.artdujourgallery.com. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. 'Home Is Where the Heart Is' at Art du Jour
