Cave Junction man dies in head-on crash By Mail Tribune staff Updated: May 05, 2022 01:23 PM A A A Cave Junction man died Wednesday morning in a head-on vehicle collision near the intersection of Laurel Road and Walters Drive in Cave Junction, according to a press release from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office. Michael Gilles St-Onge was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release. Deputies arrived to find two vehicles in the road, blocking both lanes. Terry Lawson was driving north on Laurel when the vehicle driven by St-Onge, 52, crossed into Lawson’s lane. Lawson, 67, of Grants Pass, was not seriously injured in the crash, the sheriff’s office said.
