Saturday, Oct. 10 Pride Parade and Festival: The sixth annual Southern Oregon Pride parade and festival begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in downtown Ashland. Festival events, vendors and live music will follow the parade in Lithia Park until 2 p.m. See sopride.org. {p class="sbodytypej"}Free Expressions: Free drop-in art classes for children of all ages are offered from 10:30 to noon Saturdays at Ashland Art Center, 357 E. 'Sweat' and the Crafting of an American Dream" with the cast of Oregon Shakespeare Festival's production of "Sweat" will be from noon to 1 p.m.  Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. The lecture is part of OSF's "Living Ideas" series. Rogue Valley Harmonizers: The men's a cappella chorus will present "Rock Around the Clock," a program of doo-wop and rock 'n' roll songs such as "Shake, Rattle & Roll," "Blue Velvet," "Only You" and other hits from the '50s and '60s, at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. The Running Dead 5K: Get made up as a zombie at make-up booths, then chase or be chased during the Running Dead 5K Saturday, Oct. 10, at Pear Blossom Park at The Commons, intersection of North Bartlett Street and East Fifth Street. Registration is $40. Make-up booths open at 1:30 p.m. Packet pick-up and check-in is at 2 p.m. Participants dressed as humans start running a loop course on city streets and the Bear Creek Greenway at 4 p.m. Participants dressed as zombies begin chasing at 4:05 p.m. and try to capture flags from the fleeing humans. An Apocalypse Party is from 4 to 7 p.m. The event is for ages 12 and over. Finishers ages 21 and over will receive a beer with photo identification. Hanley Farm Haunted Adventure: Take a guided tour by lantern across the field of Hanley Farm during "The Mystery of the Lady in Black: A Haunting Adventure by the Light of the Moon" Saturday, Oct. 10, Sunday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 18, at the farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point. Gates open at 6 p.m. with guided group walks from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 3-12 and free for kids younger than 3. Admission includes apple bobbing, movies, music and more. The haunted adventure is a co-production of Crater Renaissance Academy students and the Southern Oregon Historical Society.
