Wednesday, a Jackson County sheriff’s deputy added charges of first-degree robbery and fourth-degree assault to drug and parole violation charges Jason was lodged in Jackson County Jail on Sept. 27. Authorities had linked Jason to an attack Sept. 23 in Rogue River in which cash and a firearm were reported stolen from a man who knew Jason. He remained jailed Wednesday night without bail. Theft — Amanda Leigh Atkinson, 23, of the 100 block of Reager Street, Medford. On Wednesday Central Point police added two counts each of identity theft and second-degree forgery, as well as charges of second-degree theft, attempted second-degree theft and probation violation. Atkinson was lodged in jail Tuesday on charges of identity theft, second-degree theft, conspiracy to commit identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and failure to appear on past theft, burglary and assault charges. She remained in jail Wednesday night without bail. Theft — Kenneth Scott Phillips, 37, of the 300 block of Lorraine Avenue, Eagle Point. Medford police arrested Phillips Wednesday on charges of first-degree theft and first-degree forgery. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Wednesday night on $10,000 bail. Drugs — Ernesto Raulista, 34, no address listed. Medford police arrested Raulista on charges of possessing amphetamines and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Wednesday night without bail. Drugs — Larry Joe Duffie, 55, of the 600 block of West 11th Street, Medford. Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Duffie Wednesday on charges of possession, delivery and manufacture of cocaine, as well as delivery of controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Wednesday night on $40,000 bail. Advertisement Criminal mischief — Raquel Ann Ellsworth, 34, of the 5000 block of Rock Way, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Ellsworth Wednesday on charges of first-degree criminal mischief and harassment. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Wednesday on $8,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 3600 block of Bellinger Lane, Central Point. A sheriff’s deputy took a report Wednesday of a theft of a highpower Browning 9 mm valued at $600. Theft — first block of Tomahawk Drive, Jacksonville. A deputy took a report Wednesday of a theft of two wedding rings valued at $4,500. Fire calls Structure fire — 6600 block of Tarry Lane, Talent. Jackson County Fire District No. 5 quickly doused a fire that burned a bedroom of a double-wide mobile home early Tuesday. The fire was reported about 4 a.m. It burned a hole in the home’s floor and filled the home with smoke before firefighters knocked it down about five minutes after arriving. Crews from Phoenix Fire Department assisted. Grass fire — 14000 block of Upper Applegate Road, Ruch. A log truck driver stopped at the Applegate Rural Fire District No. 9 station about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday to report a small grass fire up the road. Crews from the district and Oregon Department of Forestry were at the station and rushed to the fire, which was spreading rapidly through tall grass uphill toward a home. With the help of a Forest Service crew, firefighters corralled the blaze at about an acre and a half. It burned within 50 feet of the house, officials said. No cause has been identified yet.
