[Josephine County Jail booking photo] The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a driver who allegedly left behind more than 100 pounds of illicit pot — and his passenger — when he fled on foot from a Thursday morning traffic stop in Cave Junction. The driver bolted during a traffic stop at 10:30 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Laurel Road and Waters Drive, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Inside, police found 116 pounds of processed marijuana inside the vehicle, and a passenger identified as Josue Ruiz-Atenogenes, 24, of Modesto, California. Ruiz-Atenogenes was arrested on felony charges of unlawfully possessing marijuana and attempting to deliver a marijuana. As of Friday morning, Ruiz-Atenogenes was held in the Josephine County Jail on $25,000 bail. The driver is described as a Hispanic male about 5-feet, 5-inches tall, weighing 145 pounds with black hair.
