Mass vaccination site opens in Medford By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Dec 29, 2021 11:12 AM A A COVID-19 shots available every day of the week A COVID-19 mass vaccination site that previously operated at the Jackson County Expo has relocated to downtown Medford and will be open seven days a week. Free vaccinations are available without an appointment on a walk-thru basis at the Merrick, 200 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. The building was previously the Inn at the Commons. The hours of operation are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Child doses for kids ages 5-11 and adult doses for people 12 and older are available. The site offers initial vaccinations as well as booster shots. The mass vaccination site run by the Oregon Health Authority is part of a network of sites around the state. Health officials are urging people to get vaccinated or get booster shots as the highly contagious omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus spreads across the country. A COVID-19 testing site operated by the company Curative has also been relocated from The Expo to the Merrick. It runs five days a week, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
