The family was reported missing earlier this week, and authorities used a Lo-Jack device on a car owned by Daniel Perez to track him down. After a brief chase with his four children in the backseat of the car, Perez stopped and attempted to jump from an overpass bridge. The children ran to safety, and Perez was ultimately taken into custody unharmed. A body found in the trunk of another car owned by Perez is believed to belong to Perez’s wife, Erica Perez. Family members reported that the two had an unhappy marriage, and that Daniel Perez had a history of domestic violence. QUOTE OF NOTE “Although this was a private communication that was stolen, I accept full responsibility for what I wrote and apologize to everyone who was offended,” said Sony Pictures exec Amy Pascal , apologizing Thursday for racially insensitive statements she made about President Barack Obama in emails with Hollywood producer Scott Rudin. The emails were among a trove of Sony information released by an anonymous hacker earlier this month. Rudin, a producer, was also caught exchanging an email in which he refers to actress Angelina Jolie a “minimally talented spoiled brat.” HOT VIDEO: Lamborghini to release $6K smartphone Lamborghini rolled out photos of its new smartphone, the 88 Tauri, earlier this week. With a price tag of around $6,000, the limited-run smartphone probably isn’t for everyone, though the sleek steel-and-leather construction and 5-inch screen have obvious appeal.
