Ashland netters blank North Bend NORTH BEND � Ashland spent the week practicing its serves and that seemed to pay off in a big way Saturday in boys tennis action. The Grizzlies lost only three games in singles and weren�t really tested in doubles either as Ashland beat North Bend, 8-0, in non-conference play. "We were really on today," said Ashland coach Dick Streng. "There wasn�t much we did wrong." With the win, Ashland improved to 5-0 as Aaron Harris, Michael James and Shane Lloyd won in straight sets in back-to-back contests. SINGLES � Aaron Harris, Ash, def. Crew ASHLAND FARES WELL AT REGATTA � At Seattle, the Ashland High crew team fared well in their second event of the spring season at the Green Lake Regatta. The Grizzlies� novice four and novice eight teams took second, while the varsity eight slid into a third-place finish. Ashland�s next event is a national regatta at the San Diego Crew Classics on April 6-7.
