Authorities search for man who fled from party Monday Jun 5, 2017 at 2:00 AM Greg Stiles Mail Tribune @GregMTBusiness Authorities are seeking a 21-year-old Jackson County man who nearly struck two law officers as he sped off from a party at Emigrant Lake just after midnight Saturday. A felony warrant was issued for Sky Dominick Real, who is associated with addresses in Eagle Point and Medford. Real is wanted for eluding police in a vehicle and on foot after officers were called to a lakefront party and bonfire. Neighbors reported a large gathering and fire on the south side of Emigrant Lake. About 20 teens and young adults were contacted by Jackson County sheriff's deputies. Real, who was believed to be intoxicated, got into a vehicle and fled the scene, nearly striking a deputy and an Oregon State Police trooper. Real drove a short distance toward Ashland before crashing near Highway 66 mile marker 6 and left the area before he could be found. Jackson County sheriff's Sgt. Julie Denney said authorities were unsure if Real was injured in the crash.  "It was about 10 minutes from the time he left until the crash was found," Denney said. "So he had a little time to get away on foot. We don't know if he got a ride somewhere or if he's hiding out." A Medford police K9 unit and Ashland police officers assisted with the search. On May 14, deputies arrested Real at the scene of a DUII rollover crash on Old Stage Road.  Two people were treated for injuries after they had attended a nearby post-prom party. Real was not operating the vehicle in question, but was found to be in violation of a jail release agreement by having contact with a victim he was arrested for assaulting in April. In that case, Real was also arrested on several charges, including DUII. Denney said Real's previous arrests were so recent that his court dates hadn't come up. She said the kind of party that drew the law officers are common throughout the county. "They start happening around prom time and continue through graduation," Denney said. Deputies spent Saturday night checking popular party locations around the county and dispersing crowds. They are working with OLCC agents to identify people who supply minors with alcohol and drugs. Emigrant Lake is closed after dark. One intoxicated 16-year-old boy declined to identify himself when deputies were issuing citations and was taken into custody. He repeatedly kicked the inside of a patrol car and was lodged in the juvenile detention center.
