Schnugg, a North Medford graduate who won the Rogue Valley Morgan Stanley Open in June, used Sunday’s victory to avenge a loss to Bullant suffered a week earlier in the semifinals of a tournament in Roseburg. With the victory, Schnugg netted the men’s open singles top prize of $2,200. Swimming Tolga Tokman took first place in the 100 fly in the 16-year-old men’s division at the Turkish Nationals Olympic trials last weekend. Tokman, who competes for Superior Aquatics and is a student at North Medford High, also swam the fly leg of the 200 medley relay. The 16-year-old couldn’t finish the remainder of the meet after being hospitalized with an allergic reaction to a bug bite. Advertisement Judo Medford Judo Academy members Brian Rodriguez and Sean Tipton took first place in the advanced kata division last weekend at a jujitsu competition in Crescent City, Calif. The pair was awarded the Dojo Protocol Trophy as the best team, and Tipton was chosen for individual Protocol Trophy for his attitude and conduct. Golf Kenny Graven , 16, scored a hole-in-one on the 17th hole at Red Mountain Golf Course on July 2. Graven’s first ace came on an 84-yard shot off his pitching wedge. Justin Hobart and Andrew Middleton witnessed. Gary Rider notched his second ace while playing at Stewart Meadows on July 4. The 141-yard 8-iron shot came on the seventh hole and was witnessed by Bruce and Kirby Rider. A pitching wedge from 135 yards shot on the 17th hole of Cedar Links Golf Course resulted in a hole-in-one for Todd Ostenson on July 8. His playing partners were Scott Sherbourne, Jay Christiansen and Mike Rodgers.
